By installing or using Lactate Engine (the "App") you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the App.

1. What the App is

The App analyses your training data and blood-lactate tests to estimate physiological markers (lactate thresholds, clearance, durability, readiness, predicted performance) and to suggest training sessions. All estimates are models: they carry uncertainty, which the App displays, and they depend on the quality of the data you provide.

2. Not medical advice

The App is not a medical device and provides no medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Consult a physician before starting or changing an exercise programme, and before performing maximal tests. Blood sampling (finger or earlobe) must follow proper hygiene; you are responsible for how you perform tests and sessions.

3. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, under the App Store terms. You may not reverse-engineer, resell or redistribute the App.

4. Your data and responsibilities

You own the data you enter or import. You are responsible for its accuracy and for keeping backups (the App offers a JSON export). Third-party connections (Apple Health, Garmin, Strava) are governed by those providers' terms; the App reads your own data only, for your personal analysis.

5. Free features and subscription

The App is currently free to download and use, with no in-app purchases. If a Premium subscription is offered in a future version, it will be an auto-renewable subscription purchased through the App Store: prices and duration will be shown in the App before purchase; payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation; the subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, from your Apple ID account settings; refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms. Premium features, if any, will be listed in the App and may evolve.

6. Availability and changes

We may update, change or discontinue features at any time. Models and thresholds may change between versions when the science or our validation requires it; the App states which method produced a value.

7. Intellectual property

The App, its models, texts and design are the property of AFSIsoft SAS. Garmin, Connect IQ, Strava and Apple Health are trademarks of their owners.

8. Warranty and liability

The App is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties and are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damage, including injury, training outcomes or data loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under French law.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. Disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of Saint-Brieuc, France, subject to mandatory consumer-protection rules.
